DarkArt: How was born your band and why have you choose this name?
Kelii: Me and Giz started jamming together about 8 years ago but the current line up has been together now for about 2/3 years. The name came from a possible song title I wrote dwon but never used. I think it has many meanings, there's the obvious psychological one, but I also think we're all obsessive about music and compulsive about making music so it really suits our crazy passion! DarkArt: How do you define your music? Kelii: That's always a tricky question! We like to think we're undefinable! We take elements of punk, metal, rock, grunge, goth, alternative and mix it all up! DarkArt: What are your musical and artistic influences? Kelii: Musically everything from Leonard Cohen to Opeth via The Dead Kennedys! We're also inspired by art, music, literature, film... Anybody who creates something with passion, individuality, intelligence and a hint of madness! DarkArt: Who write the texte and compose the music? Kelii: I write all the lyrics but I'm sometimes inspired for song titles or subjects by the guys' suggestions. Sometimes a song starts off with a riff idea from Pete (bass), more often from Giz (guitar), and then once I have some lyrics we all thrash it out together in the rehearsal room and it changes shape once again. It's a group effort. DarkArt: What are the subject that you prefer to talk about in your texte? Kelii: Anything I'm feeling at the time really, I like to comment on the world and the human condition mostly. I'm not big on love songs just for the sake of it but we do have some, twisted ones! At the moment I'm writing a lot about the morbid side of life but that's subject to change. DarkArt: What are the song that you prefer to play in your show and why? Kelii: We like all our songs, if we didn't we wouldn't play them anymore but live it is fun to play the more energetic ones and get out some pent up aggression. We usually don't think of a set list until after soundcheck, it depends on how we're feeling that day.
DarkArt: What are your plans for the futur? Kelii: We mostly want to just keep writing the best songs we can come up with. Other than that we're making a video soon, which we're very excited about, and we have some more big UK tours planned. We'd love to come to Europe soon too! DarkArt: One word for our readers?
