My Suicide Dream

DarkArt: When and how is born your band?
MSD:
My Suicide Dream started when our keyboardist Sugar reintroduced me to the industrial scene. I used to go to clubs when I was younger, but it wasn’t until Sugar took me to a Philadelphia goth club that I fell in love. I got the idea for MSD shortly after. I was in several bands before MSD, but when I started college I quit them to focus on my studies. As fate would have it, Sugar and I were in a horrible car accident and missed so many days of class we failed the semester. No more financial aid, no more school, more time for music!

DarkArt: Who write the music and lyrics?
MSD:
Brandon Sosnowski (me) except for our song “Pray to God”, which Citizen and myself wrote.

DarkArt: What are the subjects that you prefer to talk about in your lyrics?
MSD:
My lyrics are mostly about the things that bother me in life. Things like the American government and way of life, religion, and even myself at times. Our lyrics are pretty much just unpleasant to say the least.

DarkArt: What do you try to express in your music?
MSD:
I try and express how I feel. How the vast majority of this world horrifies me to no end. The ignorance, and the greed of people makes me ill. I cant expect people to see things as I do, but hopefully by hearing the music I create people can get a general idea.

DarkArt: What are your music and artistic influences?
MSD:
I actually have somewhat odd musical influences. There’s the obvious: Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Kovenant, and Psyclon Nine. But then there’s the ones you wouldn’t expect: Sneaker Pimps, Atari Teenage Riot, Tatu (yeah I know what your thinking) and Prodigy.

DarkArt: What are the songs that you prefer to play at your shows and why?
MSD:
Pretty much all of them except “Disassociating Stars”, that ones a little slow and depressing.

DarkArt: What are your plans for the futur?
MSD:
We plan on releasing our first album this October and shortly after that we plan on playing as many shows as we can. We really want to travel and meet all the interesting people out there, so keep an eye out for us.

DarkArt: One word for our readers?
MSD:
Cheers
